Tulsa teachers are facing a rough job this year. Now, it's time to show them they are appreciated. TPS Superintendent Dr David Sawyer kicked off the "Adopt-A-Teacher" program Tuesday.
Teacher Appreciation Week is next week and this new program gives normal folks a chance to send a teacher a little encouragement. Dr David Sawyer, "This gives us an opportunity as a community to express personal thanks and appreciation to our teacher."
Displays are set up at each of the Tulsa City-County libraries, where citizens can select a teacher to send a card or letter to saying thanks for all of their hard work.
