A Tulsa police officer that shot a man to death this weekend is on routine suspension. Officers say they tried to stop a car early Saturday morning, but the driver wouldn't pull over.

A short chase ended when the car hit a curb and the driver and passenger ran off near 2nd and Knoxville. 24-year-old Shane Humphrey was caught in the backyard of a home.

After a violent struggle, Humphrey was fatally shot by Officer Ron Leatherman. The female passenger was taken into custody.

No one else was hurt.
