A Tulsa Police officer got quite a scare when he was involved in an accident.

Authorities say around 12:30 AM Wednesday, the officer was westbound on I-244 when he started having problems with a female prisoner. That distracted him, so he didn't notice a mail cart in the middle of the expressway. The patrol car sustained $2,500 in damage.

The prisoner was treated at a local hospital then booked into the Tulsa County jail. The officer was not hurt.
