STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State golfer Hunter Mahan was named Tuesday to the U.S. Palmer Cup team for the second straight year.
The U.S. team, chosen by the Golf Coaches Association of America, will compete against the European team July 7-11 at Kiawah Island, S.C.
Mahan, a junior, leads the Big 12 with a 70.95 stroke average. He was the Big 12 player of the year last year, when he also was named to the U.S. World Amateur team.
Last year, Mahan had a 1-2-1 record as the United States won its second straight Palmer Cup.
