(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A House committee Thursday approved two laws to prohibit smoking in restaurants and most other public places.

The bills have passed the Senate and now go to the full House for consideration. A third bill is pending in the Senate.

Exclusions to the ban on smoking include some hotel and motel rooms, bars and tobacco shops.

Supporters of anti-smoking legislation say the hope to get all three bills in a House-Senate conference committee and develop one piece of legislation to limit second-hand smoke.
