NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma guard Hollis Price was named a second-team All-American by The Associated Press on Thursday.

Price averaged 19.5 points per game during the regular season and was voted Big 12 player of the year by The AP. He made 44% of his 3-point shots and hit 93% from the free throw line.

The Sooners won the conference tournament for the third straight year and were made the top seed in the NCAA East Regional, where they lost to Syracuse in the regional finals.

Price was joined on the second team by Carmelo Anthony of Syracuse, Kyle Korver of Creighton, Troy Bell of Boston College and Jason Gardner of Arizona.

The first team was David West of Xavier, Nick Collison of Kansas, Dwayne Wade of Marquette, T.J. Ford of Texas and Josh Howard of Wake Forest.

The teams were chosen by the 72-member national media panel that selects the weekly AP Top 25. The voting was done before the NCAA tournament.
