The war in Iraq has some students studying history as it happens. Edison Teacher Brian Marts is giving his students a unique perspective on the war.
Marts says the news from the Gulf is a lesson his students need to learn. Before he was a teacher, Marts was a soldier. He served with the Army's 18th Airborne Corps in the last Gulf War.
Now he's using his past to teach students about the current war. "I think its important for them to know what’s going on I don’t know all the answers but I think they need to be informed as much as possible."
Marts says he hopes his students walk away with a greater understanding of the war and the troops.
