Tulsa Police say an early morning shooting and police chase are related. Police were called to a home in the 8500 block of East 91st Place around 5 AM Thursday morning.

The homeowner told them he heard someone trying to break into his child's bedroom window. He confronted the suspect. Tulsa Police Captain Brad Clark, “He confronted them at the window and did fire a shot at the suspect. Suspects fled the scene and we did later discover we have a suspect at Saint Francis Hospital that has been shot.”

Police say after the injured suspect was dropped off at the hospital, his accomplice broke into another home. This time at 50th and Quaker. Officers pulled in behind the suspect and he took off. The chase only lasted a few minutes and wound up back where it started.

Tulsa Police found blood inside the car, which helped them link the two crimes. Charges are pending.
