A Tulsa County District Court jury has recommended the death penalty for Shelton Jackson.

He was convicted Monday for the second time of killing his girlfriend, Monica Decator. The first verdict was thrown out by a judge who ruled he had inadequate representation during the first trial.

Jackson is already serving life in prison plus 35 years for beating Decator's young son Oz. The judge will formally sentence Jackson on May 2nd.
