Some homeless puppies made a temporary stop in Oklahoma Friday on their way to their new homes.
The 71 puppies are being taken from Mississippi to Boulder, Colorado where they are going to be put up for adoption. The handlers made a brief stop in Tulsa Friday morning to let the dogs stretch their legs and get some water. This is the second time Larry Avery has taken a trip like this and he hopes this trip will be as successful as the last. "The next day there were like 20 or 30 people lined up outside the Boulder Humane Society wanting the dogs to be adopted."
The dogs are being taken to Colorado, because there, they have a better chance of being adopted rather than euthanized. That's because Colorado has stricter animal laws.
