(Tulsa-AP) -- Prosecutors have filed murder charges against a man held as a material witness in the killings of three people in Tulsa.
James Kidwell was detained February 26th in Sallisaw after police found evidence he had corresponded with Rebecca Barney on the Internet.
Rebecca Barney, her ex-husband Fred Barney and passer-by Kenneth Maxwell were killed February 22nd.
The Barneys were found shot inside their home, which police say the killer had set on fire.
Maxwell had noticed the fire and called 9-1-1. He was found shot outside the home and died on the way to the hospital.
Kidwell told police he was with the Barneys at a downtown Tulsa bar on the night of the killings and had gone to their home with them after the bar closed.
