Spring is right around the corner, and now, Tulsa residents have one more place to go to enjoy the great outdoors.

The Tulsa Parks Department held a special tree planting ceremony at the newly completed Kendall-Whittier Park. The park is located at 2601 E 5th Place.

Wednesday's ceremony also celebrates Arbor Day, which is celebrated in Oklahoma during the last week in March.

National Arbor Day is celebrated the last Friday in April.
