(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A judge in the murder case against bombing conspirator Terry Nichols said Monday a preliminary hearing will begin May 5th as scheduled.
The hearing will determine whether Nichols stands trial on 160 state charges of first-degree murder for his role in the April 1995 Oklahoma City bombing.
Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
Judge Charles Allen McCall met Monday morning with prosecution and defense attorneys and says he sees no delays in starting the hearing.
At least seven previous preliminary hearings have been scheduled and postponed.
Nichols is serving life in prison for federal convictions for his role in the bombing. He's been held in the Oklahoma County Jail on the state charges since January 2000.
