(Fort Gibson-AP) -- Two Texas men are dead following a two car crash during the weekend in eastern Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Kurt Mays of Elgin, Texas, and Stephen Huff of Austin were killed when the van they were riding in was hit by a sport utility vehicle. Three others in the van are hospitalized in serious condition.

The crash occurred about 9:15 Saturday night at the intersection of a Muskogee County road and State Highway 10 near Fort Gibson.

Troopers say the driver of the SUV failed to stop at a stop sign and crashed into the van. The driver of the SUV was treated and released at a Muskogee hospital.
