A 47-year-old Muskogee man has been arrested on a complaint of first-degree manslaughter for shooting his roommate.

Police in Muskogee were called to a home on North G Street. When they arrived, they found 39-year-old David Ward dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Officers say James Kauffman fired a weapon inside the home and the bullet traveled through the closed doorway of a room, hitting Ward in the chest.
