Besides the threat of a terrorist attack, Oklahomans also have to worry about tornadoes and floods as well.
Being prepared is essential in a time of crisis. But the Red Cross says experts look at Oklahomans for tips on survival. Bob Roberts with the Red Cross, "there are a whole lot of people around the country, there are a lot of experts around the country that come to Oklahoma to look at the Oklahoma model because the people in Oklahoma have done so much to be prepared for whatever may come at them."
Safety experts stress you should always have a safety kit handy. Include items such as a flashlight, battery operated radio, first aid kit, food and water.
You can also personalize your safety kit, remembering to include diapers and baby supplies, for example, if you have an infant.
