One person has been arrested after leading Tulsa Police, the OHP and the sheriff's office on a high-speed chase Friday morning.

The chase ended in Sperry, but began near I-44 and Memorial. Officers say 21-year-old Timothy Jacque stole the car while it was running to be warmed up. After the owner filed a report with police, officers saw the car and gave chase. At some points, speeds reached up to 80 miles an hour and the suspect forced a number of cars off the road.

Eventually, Jacque crashed the vehicle near Sperry High School and ran off. Officers caught up with him and took him into custody. Police say this serves as an important reminder of this popular crime. Tulsa Police officer Paul Down, "It's a crime of opportunity and people if they go out to start cars, please us other keys, lock the car up. No body likes to get into a cold car, but we're giving access to a lot of bad guys to move around our city."

Tulsa Police say they get four to five calls on this type of crime every day.
