(Fittstown-AP) -- A farmer in Pontotoc County wants his pecans back.
Someone recently stole eight tons of pecans from Roger Stinchcomb's ranch. The pecans had a market value of about eleven-thousand dollars.
It happened the night of January 15th. Someone drove Stinchcomb's loaded truck off the ranch, dumped the pecans somewhere and returned the truck before daybreak.
Stinchcomb says it's not just the lost money that has him upset. It's the fact the pecans were the best he had.
Pontotoc County authorities say they have a suspect in mind but are waiting for the pecans to show up.
They say the thief couldn't have gotten too far in such a short amount of time, and that only a few people buy pecans wholesale in the area.
