(Norman-AP) -- What really happened to those 1.7 seconds?

That's what the Big 12 Conference wants to know as it examines videotape of Monday's Texas Tech-Oklahoma men's basketball game.

With 6.7 seconds remaining in regulation and Tech guard Will Chavis dribbling the ball, the game clock paused for one full second before starting again.

Chavis was fouled with 4.5 seconds left and made both free throws, giving Tech a 60-to-58 lead.

After OU guard Hollis Price received the ensuing inbound pass, the clock didn't start for another 7/10ths of a second.

Price eventually tied the game, which Oklahoma won 69-to-64.

Technicians examined the clock on Wednesday and found no mechanical problems.
