(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma City firefighters battled nine grass fires in 16 hours, including two that were intentionally set.

No one was injured in Sunday's fires, and only one building was destroyed.

Major Brian Stanaland, the fire department's spokesman, says dry conditions and high winds allowed the fires to spread quickly.

Two fires are believed to have been intentionally set about noon. The first burned a back yard and destroyed a shed. The second blaze burned about five acres.

Stanaland says the fires weren't related.

The largest fire consumed about 30 acres. Stanaland says it was ignited by sparks from a cutting tool.
