The state's ban on cockfighting is now in the Oklahoma Supreme Court's hands.
Attorney General Drew Edmondson said the court should take over the case because of the number of lawsuits that have developed, to help clear confusion, and to hopefully speed up the decision process.
So far lawsuits have been filed in 27 counties across the state.
