(Shawnee-AP) -- Oklahoma Baptist went to Arkansas with a perfect record.
The Bison came back with a loss.
John Brown knocked off top-ranked OBU 72-to-70 at Siloam Springs Saturday night. It was the Bison's first loss of the season and their first conference loss.
Coach Doug Tolin says it's a tough way to start competition in the Sooner Athletic Conference. OBU had a 13-and-0 record prior to the game.
OBU senior Scott Prater says the loss came early in the Bison's season and they can learn from their mistakes.
Prater led OBU with 19 points, downing 7-of-7 field goal tries. David Williams and Adam Hawkins had 12 points each for OBU.
