Undated-AP) -- The Oklahoma City Blazers and the Tulsa Oilers were idle Sunday night after road games Saturday.
The Blazers defeated Wichita 3-to-nothing to close to within three points of the Central Hockey League's Northwest Division lead.
Tulsa, which leads the division, suffered a 5-to-4 shoot-out loss at Amarillo. Tulsa leads the division with 47 points. The Blazers have 44.
In the Wichita game, Oklahoma City goaltender Boyd Ballard posted a shutout. Ballard had 36 saves and notched his second save of the season.
Wichita outshot Oklahoma City 15-to-7 in the first period. The Blazers got goals from Peter Robertson in the sec0nd period and Joe Burton in the third period.
Peter Arvanitis scored an empty-net goal for the Blazers.
