An organization with ties to Tulsa is watching the conflict in the Middle East closely.
Bridges For Peace has offices in Tulsa, but is headquartered in Jerusalem. The group is devoted to promoting understanding between Jews and Christians around the world.
They've helped more than 11,000 Jews return to their homeland from the former Soviet Union. Bridges For Peace also established Israel's first, and still largest food bank.
Ron Cantrell has been working there for ten years now and says he's never seen the situation between Israel and the Palestinians this bad before. "I ride the bus to work every day and I find myself playing out in my mind, does this guy have a bomb? If he does, what am I gonna do?"
Cantrell says despite the constant danger, it's the mission of Bridges for Peace to bring comfort to Israel in a difficult time.
