KOTV had a young hero on Six in the Morning Friday morning. Six year-old Grant Eckles was at KOTV with his little sister Ashton whom he saved from choking on a French fry. Their mother Tammy joined them as well.
Rick Wells talked with the family, and Grant also gave a demonstration on life saving. Rick Wells: "Show me what you did. And the French fry came out. Now where did you learn to do that?" Grant Eckles, "On TV." Rick: "And aren't you glad?" Ashton Eckles, "Yes."
Mom says Grant and Ashton have typical spats like most brothers and sisters do. But she adds that Grant has looked out for his baby sister since the day she was born.
