Signs of recession recovery are finally reaching Tulsa. American Airlines is asking 60 of its laid off employees to come back to work.

American says it's been adding flights on its most heavily traveled routes in recent weeks and the company is calling aircraft cleaners and building cleaners back to work. The employees whose positions were downgraded will return to jobs as aircraft maintenance technicians and overhaul support mechanics.

American is Tulsa's largest employer with more than 9,000 workers.
