Former Haskell County sheriff Jimmy E. Terrell has been sentenced to probation after he pleaded guilty to embezzlement and larceny.

Under a plea agreement, Terrell admitted selling property of the Haskell County Sheriff's Department to pawn shops and pocketing the money.

Terrell was ordered to pay nearly $2000 in restitution to the Sheriff's office and the pawn shop.
