Jenks Police say a 39-year-old motorist was injured Thursday morning in a rush hour accident.
Herbert Culbert was driving south on Highway 75 at about 94th Street South when he hit the back of an ambulance. It was parked on the side of the road, so paramedics could treat people with minor injuries from an earlier crash.
Witnesses say everything happened so fast. "I heard a collision, looked up and seen the debris flying."
The victim was extracted along with the assistance of the Tulsa Fire Department. Culbert was taken to St Francis and is listed in serious condition. No one was in the ambulance at the time of the crash.
