TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Carla Morrow sank a pair of free throws with 10.3 seconds left Wednesday night to preserve Tulsa's 66-63 victory over San Jose State in the Western Athletic Conference women's basketball tournament.
Tulsa (17-12) went up 62-56 with 3:04 left in the game on field goals by Alyssa Shriver and Becky Heidotten and free throws by Leela Farr.
After the score moved to 64-58, Elea A'Giza scored and Atari Parker nailed a 3-pointer to pull the Spartans (17-11) within 64-63 with 31.8 seconds to play.
Farr led Tulsa with 23 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Heidotten added 13 points and three rebounds.
Parker topped San Jose State with 22 points and Cricket Williams had 16. The Spartans sank only 7 of 30 (23 percent) their second-half shots.
The victory puts fifth-seeded Tulsa into Friday's semifinal round against top-seeded Louisiana Tech, a 70-53 winner over Boise State.
