(Denver) -- Avalanche defenseman Adam Foote is listed as day-to-day after taking a puck to the throat in last night's 2-2 tie with Calgary.

Foote's injury happened early in the third period. The puck hit him square in the throat and he stayed down for a couple of minutes before being helped off.

He had to cancel a radio appearance this morning because of a sore throat.

The Avs are hoping Foote gets better for tomorrow's game against Phoenix.
