A fatal accident late Thursday night that had an impact on rush hour Friday morning. The accident happened around 10:30 PM at Utica, and the Broken Arrow Expressway.
Crews worked overnight to get it back on its wheels. The truck was hauling cottonseed hulls, which crews transferred to other vehicles. Tulsa Police say the driver of a Honda was east bound on the Broken Arrow Expressway, when she suddenly crossed the median into the path of the semi.
Officials don't know what caused her to lose control of her car. Tulsa Police Capt Mark McCrory "Right now we have the driver of the semi has been transported to the hospital with, it appears to be non-life threatening injuries. And the driver of the smaller car is deceased."
The wreck caused quite a mess, officers shut down the BA westbound for hours while they cleaned up the accident scene. That caused a back up of traffic. Drivers were diverted onto side streets.
