TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Kevin Johnson had 19 points and 10 rebounds as Tulsa withstood a second-half rally to beat Louisiana Tech 72-63 on Saturday.
Greg Harrington added 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for the Golden Hurricane (22-4, 13-2 Western Athletic).
Harrington drove the lane and dished to Johnson for a conventional 3-point play with 1:14 left to give Tulsa a 70-61 lead. The Bulldogs (16-8, 10-4) had cut a 19-point deficit to three at 64-61 with 2:41 to play.
Dante Swanson added 11 points and Jason Parker 10 for Tulsa.
Gerrod Henderson led Louisiana Tech with 15 points. Lavelle Felton added 11.
Tulsa raced to a 46-30 at halftime after making 7 of 9 3-pointers and shooting 62 percent overall.
But the Bulldogs were more aggressive in the second half, limiting the Golden Hurricane to 31 percent shooting and forcing 11 turnovers.
