TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Markius Barnes scored a career-high 35 points Saturday night as Oral Roberts beat Missouri-Kansas City 85-75 in a Mid-Continent Conference game.
Barnes made 9-of-12 from 3-point range as Oral Roberts had four scorers in double figures. Richie Myers added 17, Reggie Borges scored 15 and had 10 rebounds and Tyrone Tiggs had 10 points for ORU (12-11, 6-2 Mid-Continent).
UMKC (12-8, 3-5 Mid-Con) allowed a season-high in points and has lost two in a row for the first time this season.
UMKC shot 72 percent in the first half and led by as many as 12, but ORU switched to a zone defense and limited the Kangaroos to 28 percent shooting in the second half.
The Golden Eagles shot 51 percent from the field and made 13-of-26 from 3-point range.
The Kangaroos were led by Michael Watson, who scored 25 of his 31 points in the first half. Michael Jackson had 20 for UMKC and Marcus Golson had 14.
