A good book can make a big impact on a student, no matter what age. Some Langston University students believe that enough to pass along some of their favorites Friday to a younger generation.
Langston's education department examined and bought $1,000 worth of books, which they gave Friday to Penn Elementary in Tulsa. The two schools have a long running relationship, with future teachers meeting regularly with Penn first graders for tutoring.
Langston students earned the books by having a Scholastic Book Fair each semester for the last three years.
