Tulsa man charged with death of infant

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Tulsa police have charged a man with murder in the death of his infant son. <br><br>Roger Turrle Stephenson, 22, surrendered late Wednesday and was booked into Tulsa County jail Thursday.

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Tulsa police have charged a man with murder in the death of his infant son.

Roger Turrle Stephenson, 22, surrendered late Wednesday and was booked into Tulsa County jail Thursday.

Court and police records allege that he shook the victim March 20. Someone at the home called an ambulance that took 8-month-old Dre-Vion Stephenson to a hospital.

The baby died Aug. 7, Tulsa Police Sgt. Mike Huff said. A medical examiner ruled in December the child died from head injuries.

``He had been on a ventilator since the injury,'' Sgt. Liz Woolen said.
