OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Bob Ricks, Gov. Frank Keating's cabinet secretary on safety and security, will be in Washington Thursday to take part in a White House meeting with President Bush on homeland security.

``I am honored to participate in this meeting and offer President Bush the unique perspective and experience that we Oklahomans have had confronting the evils of terrorism,'' Ricks said.

Ricks, who also serves as Oklahoma public safety commissioner, was head of the Oklahoma City office of the FBI at the time of the Alfred P. Murrah federal building explosion in 1995.

Thursday afternoon's meeting was to include Office of Homeland Security head Tom Ridge and representatives of 50 states.
