The Thursday morning commute was a bit memorable for three drivers. Authorities say a metal expansion joint suddenly popped up on Highway 51 in downtown Tulsa around 7 AM Thursday.
It flattened tires and caused some other damage to three cars. The hazardous materials team had to be called in to clean up fluid spilled on the highway. Traffic in two lanes had to be diverted until crews brought in a cutting torch to cut it off.
No word on what caused the malfunction, and no one was hurt.
