Pretty paints drew members of the Gilcrease Museum to Tulsa's Waterworks art studio this past weekend. About 200-people turned out to discover the treasure trove of specialized art.

Classes ranging from stone carving and sculpture to photography and colored stills. The studio works under Tulsa's Parks and Recreation program, serving as the city's visual arts center. Ten artists who double as studio teachers gave presentations of their work. Laura Evens, Instructor: "Bore into your sculpture where you want it. You can then go back in and use a flex shaft tool."

Waterworks offers 60 classes right now, ranging in price from $10 to $90 a semester. The program also offers scholarship classes to at-risk children and seniors.
