OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An Army reserve military police unit from Stillwater has been mobilized in support of the war against terrorism, officials said Tuesday.
Seventy-two soldiers from the 366th Military Police Company will report to North Little Rock, Ark., on Jan. 14 for initial processing. The reservists will then move to their active Army mobilization site at Fort Sill on Jan. 17, the Army said.
The 366th is assigned to the 90th Regional Support Command in North Little Rock. Army reservists assigned to the 90th from Norman and Fort Sill were previously mobilized.
The Army said most of the Oklahoma reservists activated have been military police.
The 90th commands more than 200 units in a five-state area that includes Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas.
The activations bring to more than 800 the number of Oklahomans deployed. They come from 14 units of the Air and Army National Guard and the Army and Air Force reserves.
