Thanks to the tighter security at the airport, seeing off your loved ones isn't what it used to be. Since September 11th, only passengers with tickets are allowed past the security checkpoint.
That was disappointing to Jessica Kirkpatrick and Janie Whittington. They went all the way to the airport Wednesday to say goodbye to their boyfriends, Broken Arrow high school wrestlers off to a national competition. "It's kind of disappointing because we didn’t' get to say goodbye. I wasn't able to go past the checkpoint because of everything that happened from September 11th. But I'm very happy that they do have all this security for their protection."
The team will be back on Sunday. Even though they can't greet them at the gate, Jessica and Janie plan to be there to welcome them home.
