Some burglars with very expensive tastes stole nearly $30,000 worth of clothing from an exclusive South Tulsa men's store. News on Six crime reporter Lori Fullbright says police are hoping you can help find these well-dressed bandits.

The Travers Mahan store prides itself on carrying top of the line merchandise and giving top of the line service. That's why when three men came into the store, asking questions, they received the same attention as anyone else. Travers Mahan, Store Owner: ""They asked very specific questions about specific merchandise and they were very interested in that merchandise, cashmere and leather coats." They also asked about Tommy Bahama pants in waist size 38 and 40, then, barely two weeks later, someone stole those leather jackets and Tommy Bahama pants in those waist sizes. "The people had taken a crowbar and pried open the door jam and they were in and out before the audible alarm sounded and the only two things missing were where they'd been."

Although it's frustrating to lose 60 pair of dress pants and expensive coats, the store owner is more frustrated that customers who had their hearts set on those items, are now out of luck. "Just the day before, a man had looked at a coat and said he wanted it and would be back, now, we don't have it."

Tulsa Police don't believe the thieves will sell the clothes, but plan to wear them; the pants will need to be hemmed. Officer Lucky Lamons, "Hopefully seamstresses or cleaners who see these clothes come in from guys who usually have Levi's or Gap clothes, give us a call." In the meantime, the store upgraded its security and plans to keep serving customers who want to get their clothing the honest way.

Police say the suspects were two black men and one white man, all in their 20's, all with stocky body types. If you know who stole these items, you can call Crimestoppers at 596-COPS. You don't have to give your name, but your tip could earn you a cash reward.
