Ground was broken Thursday on a $100-million retirement community being built near St Francis Hospital.
Developers say Montereau in Warren Woods will be unlike anything Tulsa has seen before. Options range from independent living, to assisted living, to full time care. Millward Woolsey and his wife Norma were among the first to sign up. "Tulsa hasn't had any of these things. They have assisted living or nursing care, but they haven't had the whole package. So we were really excited when this got started."
When it’s complete, Montereau will house more than 450 seniors, and bring almost 200 new jobs to Tulsa. The Warren Foundation expects its annual payroll to be almost $4-million.
