TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Charlie Davis scored a career-high 19 points and Jason Parker added a career-high 18 as Tulsa beat Southwest Missouri State 90-73 Tuesday.
Davis also grabbed 10 rebounds for the Golden Hurricane (4-1). Marqus Ledoux added 14 points.
The Bears (2-3) held Kevin Johnson _ one of Tulsa's leading scorers _ to a single point.
Tulsa trailed 20-11 early, but went on a 16-0 run to take the lead for good. Ledoux started the run with a tip-in and a 3-pointer and closed it with a pull-up jumper.
In their previous games, Tulsa's perimeter-oriented team has struggled against the zone defense. Southwest Missouri State used a zone, but Tulsa made them pay by making 12 of 21 (57 percent) 3-pointers.
Robert Yanders scored 21 points and Terrance McGee added 18 for the Bears. Scott Brakebill had 15 points and eight rebounds.
Tulsa led 38-33 at halftime and slowly built on that advantage in the second half.
It was the seventh straight victory for Tulsa against Southwest Missouri State, a former Missouri Valley Conference rival.
