For the first time in 40 years, Oklahoma farmers can sell their wheat to Cuba.
The US government lifted the sanctions after Hurricane Michelle wiped out most of Cuba's wheat supply. Cuba has already purchased 40,000 tons of hard red winter wheat, and is expected to buy more in the future.
Oklahoma is the nation's second-largest producer of hard red winter wheat.
