The sentencing phase in the murder trial of Wayne Garrison has been postponed to early next week.

The convicted child killer was taken to the hospital early Wednesday morning amid reports that he tried to commit suicide. He is listed in critical condition. Now, a judge says the sentencing phase of the trial will be held on Monday whether Garrison is present or not.

Earlier this week, a jury found Garrison guilty in the 1989 murder of 13-year-old Justin Wiles.
