The former mayor of a small Green Country town has also pleaded innocent he sexually abused a 16-year-old girl.

Authorities say the incidents happened while Todd McFarland was mayor of Depew, in Creek County. McFarland is charged in Creek County District Court with sexual battery and rape by instrumentation.

He was ousted as mayor of Depew last week.
