(Sapulpa-AP) -- An Oilton man accused of killing a 7-year-old girl and raping the girl's 12-year-old playmate pleaded guilty Thursday to murder and other charges in Creek County District Court.
Robert Wayne Rotramel was sentenced to life without parole for the August 2000 murder of Christi Blevins.
Rotramel will serve another life term for rape, 20-years for sodomy and 10-years for kidnapping.
Christi Blevins' mother has said she agreed to a plea bargain after seeing how easily Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh died. Rhonda Blevins says she didn't want Rotramel to get the easy way out.
Rotramel said he saw the two girls playing and asked them to come watch him shoot fireworks. He said he put the younger girl ``to sleep'' and carried both to an abandoned house where he sodomized and raped the older girl. Rotramel said he attempted CPR on the 7-year-old after she stopped breathing.
