First District Congressman Steve Largent says he'll resign February 12th to run for governor. On Tuesday, state legislators approved a measure allowing the election process to begin "before" Largent's actual resignation.
That means the primary will be December 11th, a runoff election if necessary January 8th, with the general set for February 12th. If a runoff isn't needed, the general election will be January 8th.
