OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Kiamichi Electric Cooperative will get additional money to help pay for the costs of removing debris following last winter's ice storm.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency approved a grant of $755,246, officials announced Tuesday.

FEMA is paying for 75 percent of a project priced at $1,006,994, said Ron Castleman, FEMA Region VI director.

``The winter storms caused extensive damage across Oklahoma, and we are happy to be a part of the recovery effort,'' Castleman said. ``This grant will help Kiamichi Electric Cooperative recover part of the cost for debris removal.''

Kiamichi Electric Cooperative serves Atoka, Latimer, LeFlore, Pittsburg and Pushmataha counties in southeastern Oklahoma.
