The News on Six helped answer public concerns about anthrax Monday evening by hosting an information phone bank.
Tulsa area fire, emergency and health experts manned phones for two hours answering more than 200 calls from the public about anthrax. Volunteers say people had a variety of questions, ranging from symptoms to treatment to concerns about mail.
Officials say it's important to remember there've been no known cases in Oklahoma. Tulsa Fire deputy chief RC Wray, "We've had a lot of scares that we've tested for, with nothing coming up positive at all, and so I think people are frightened -- they don't understand how it can be delivered, what it does, so we've had those kinds of questions."
If you didn't get a chance to call in, you can still get answers to your questions about anthrax. Just call the Tulsa city-county health department at 595-4234.
